Welcome to the homepage of the Sierra Vista Police Officer’s Association!
Who we are:
The Sierra Vista Police Officer’s Association (SVPOA) is an organization comprised of employees of the Sierra Vista Police Department. The members of the organization consist of police officers, detectives, and lower level management employees like police corporals and sergeants.
The SVPOA is an affiliate of the Arizona Conference of Police and Sheriffs (AZCOPS). AZCOPS is an Arizona-based organization which performs many functions that are essential to maintaining quality of work for police officers, sheriff’s deputies, jail detention officers, prison detention officers, and probation officers. AZCOPS examines legislation at the state level and lobbies to have legislation added, amended, or removed depending on how the legislation might affect AZCOPS members. AZCOPS also offers legal coverage to affiliate members for work related legal matters that arise during the course of their employment and that affect (or have the potential to affect) the member’s employment.
Members of the SVPOA pay dues to maintain membership in the SVPOA. Part of the dues go to the AZCOPS organization while part remains with the SVPOA itself. Our portion of the dues is used within our local community to sponsor local activities.
